Medicine like Contractubex, Gel Sheets, Pressure garments, Eye Medicines help in long term care of acid survivors. But they are beyond the budget of several of the survivors due to which they avoid using them. For example a tube of Contractubex come for around Rs 700 and it needs to be applied several times a day. How can a patient buy them on regular basis for two years or so. Similarly a 10 cm x 10 cm Gel sheet cost around Rs 2000. You can imagine the cost of Gel sheet for around 30% - 40% of of the body. These medicines have proven benefits for suppressing burn scars if they are used for a sustained period of time but due to un-affordability, acid victims are unable to use them regularly. You can sponsor these medicines for one or more acid survivors. You can also buy these medicines directly from medical shops and give it to the survivors.

The acid survivors and volunteers we work with are living in different parts of country. We also want to distribute electronic gadgets to acid survivors who cannot afford it on their own and make them aware of technology after training them. These will also help us in being in constant touch so that we can collaborate better.
