About Us
We are Atijeevan Society in registered under The Society’s Act, 1860 bearing Registration Number DRO/SJN/SOR/256/13-14. Our esteemed secretary is Mrs. Pragya Singh, who has been fighting for empowerment and rehabilitation of acid attack survivors for more than a decade. Atijeevan is striving to open the doors of opportunities for the survivors to earn their living with their own skills and talent and also help them to become economically independent in their lives. The organization is even going to guide them with Medical and Legal Assistance with the help of Team of Professionals and Donors.
Our Founder
Pragya Singh is an Acid attack survivor turned activist who has been fighting for providing relief and rehabilitation to her fellow acid survivor by coordinating with eminent doctor from across the country for medical advice, personal counseling and generating permanent source of regular income for all of the survivors who are in need. Pragya is the founder of Atijeevan Foundation and her main priority is to work for rehabilitation for the victims. She has been coordinating closely with other NGOs like ASF India and CSSAAW to rope in all the survivors and fight collectively.

Purva Dashottar
Purva Dashottar is pursuing her chartered accountancy education from Indore. With an active involvement in issues concerned with women's rights Purva has primary focus on helping the acid victims with legal counseling and guidance throughout their long struggle.
Mamta Kabra
Mamta Kabra is a management graduate with over 10 years experience in IT and ITES industry. She has vision to empower Acid and Burn survivors with a sustainable source of income. Mamta's experience brings in immense value to guide Atijeevan Foundation in a focused and organized way.

Treatment of acid burn requires specialized doctors and plastic surgeons as the damage to the skin much more severe than any other form of burn. The nerves damage most often get beyond repair. If eye gets in contact with acid, then saving it from loss of vision is a very challenging work and most common eye doctors do not know about how to handle them to revive the eye. The facial re constructive surgeries for eye lid, lips, nose and ear require an artist in a plastic surgeon and the result for these delicate surgeries greatly influence the future looks of acid burn patients.
